THE SOLAR MURAL
2023 Jackson Hole, WY | 400 sq. ft
I was selected as Lead Artist for this public art project in the Town of Jackson, WY. Once selected, I partnered with The Land Art Generator, Vista 360, Jackson Hole Public Art, and Energy Conservation Works to transform their collective vision and goals for this art piece into the final design that appears on the solar panel array in town. The project is one of only a few Solar Murals in the entire world— the cutting edge technology allowed us to print my original artwork on a specialized film that still allows for the solar panels underneath to function. This solar mural will provide about 2,500 kilowatt-hours of clean solar electricity each year to power the Pump House on W. Broadway (U.S. Rt 191). Visible to everyone on their way into town from the west, the artwork tells the story of the interconnectedness of all living things and inspires us to take action to help preserve the balance of Earth’s natural systems. This project was partially funded by a grant from the Wyoming Arts Council. See Land Art Generator Blog Here.
